Most lawyers learn how an insurance company evaluates a death claim by guessing at it from the outside. I learned it by doing it. I know how a reserve is set, what moves it, which internal reports get written after a fatality, and what an adjuster is authorized to say versus what they are actually thinking.
That matters at exactly one moment: when the carrier decides what your family’s case is worth. They make that decision early, often before anyone calls a lawyer, and they make it based on what the file looks like. Building the right file early is most of the work.
How I work
- I personally speak with and/or Zoom with every client. Not just a paralegal and never an intake service. I want to connect with my clients so that I know who I am fighting for.
- I take a limited number of cases, no more than thirty at a time, so that each one gets real attention.
- I lead the team on every case I accept: paralegals, investigators, accident reconstructionists, economists and retained experts.
- We respond 24 hours a day, seven days a week, because a death does not wait for business hours.
The honest part
I can only handle a maximum of 30 cases at a time, so I may not have availability for every case.
Three things are needed to win your case:
