Chiropractic care is often ridiculed by mainstream medicine. Chiropractors, however, have thousands of hours of training just like medical doctors. Instead of focusing on pharmacology...i.e. drugs, they learn spinal manipulation techniques that correct subluxations, reduce muscle tension and increase range of motion in the neck and back.

Medical doctors typically examine patients, write prescriptions for muscle relaxers and pain killers, and advise the patient to rest.  Then when the patient does not get better in a few weeks, the medical doctor is inclined to refer the patient for x-rays, MRIs, and physical therapy.  Medical doctors will recommend surgery.

Chiropractors regularly work with licensed massage therapists so that you can loosen up tight muscles fast.  Chiropractic office hours are usually more accommodating to patient work schedules than traditional medical doctors.
